Agent terms

These terms apply to agents and property professionals who apply for a verified CribCheck account and publish listings.

Verification

• Give your real identity and business information and upload the documents requested.
• Documents are stored privately and used only to verify you.
• An account can be approved, rejected or suspended, and verification can be withdrawn if information turns out to be false.

Listing rules

• Only list property you are authorised to market.
• State the correct rent or sale price and disclose every fee a tenant or buyer will be asked to pay.
• Use photographs of the actual property, taken recently.
• Mark a property unavailable as soon as it is taken. Stale listings are unpublished.
• Complete the guided property walkthrough honestly, including issues.

Consequences

Misrepresented prices, hidden fees, bait listings or misconduct towards enquirers lead to unpublished listings and, on repeat, suspension of the agent account. Every listing is reviewed before it appears publicly, and CribCheck labels its source so users know it came from an agent rather than from an independent inspection.
